How To Turn A Press Release Into A Free Reprint Article

Author: Steve Shaw

Article submissions and online press releases are two great ways to drive traffic to your website. You can use them both if you like, and you can even do double duty with your marketing content by morphing your press release into a free reprint article.

Why can't you just submit a press release as an article?

Press releases and free reprint articles are two very different types of writing.

How are they different?

Articles used in article marketing are ideally timeless and the information conveyed should be valid for years and years to come.

Press releases on the other hand tend to me more news oriented–about a certain event that is coming up, or a business that is being launched, or a study that has taken place.

Google News - Just Another Article Announcer?

In Google's recent battle towards becoming an international news center, I've come to notice that the results delivered from Google News seems like nothing more than the articles we publish everyday. So I ask, doesn't it seem like Google News resembles an article directory of some sorts?

The World News And Technology

The modern technology has enabled us watching, listening and feeling and even participating in the world news while sitting at our homes.

Cell phones can capture video images and quickly be uploaded onto a myriad of sites. This technology has the capability to turn all citizens into reporters. An example is the recent hanging of former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein. According to CNN, one or perhaps two security guards recorded the execution on a cell phone. Within 24 hours the footage was available worldwide. Events that would not previously be available to the public are now freely distributed. Seemingly no one and no event is safe from the prying eyes of cell phones, camcorders and digital cameras. These, when uploaded, sometimes within minutes of an event taking place, are accessible worldwide. It is beyond the scope of this paper to address privacy concerns, which was not such a predominant issue prior to the rise of the Internet. Nonetheless, we must keep in mind that these trends may change the way we act in public, increase our cynicism towards traditional news and exponentially decrease our personal privacy.

A Five-Step Plan To Help You Stay Ahead Of Computer Security Attacks, Risks, And Threats, Part Three

An alert that reaches full-blown incident status triggers an organization's response plan-assuming it has one. Security experts say large enterprises typically do maintain some type of formal response plan, though incident response varies widely.

Step No. 3: Implement An Incident Response Plan at Home and at WorkWhen a security incident occurs, it's the information technology security group's job to respond. Among the group's first assignments: Determine whether an alert represents a serious incident or a false alarm. Security managers may call upon internal experts or external help from antivirus vendors and various intelligence services, which provide reports on computer security threats. UPS subscribes to a number of such services and maintains a strategic relationship with an antivirus vendor. The relationships help UPS stay on top of the threat environment, which puts the company in a position to react ahead of time.

All You Need To Know About RSS

What does RSS mean?

RSS may mean three different things. The original RSS (RDF Site Summary
RSS 0.9) was developed by Dan Libby for Netscape. After a couple of
months, they produced a simpler and easier-to-use version called Rich
Site Summary or RSS 0.91. But they later lost interest, leaving it
without an owner. As more and more users were using RSS, Winer made an
adapted version of RSS 0.91 for Userland, claiming it as his own. Later
in 2005, Microsoft developed Really Simple Syndication in relation to
its Simple Sharing Extensions.

Entertainment RSS Delivered Straight Into Your Homes

RSS which stands for really simple syndication is a format that is
associated with the XML family of file formatting. It functions by
continuously running through the websites to scan for updates. It then
sends these updates to all of the people who are subscribed to these
websites using a feed. This is used most often in web syndication.

The Google - Duplicate Content Debate

Rumor has it that Google has implemented a strict no duplicate content rule.  Is this rumor true?  How can it affect your business?

Many people believe that content is king on the Internet.  This is a true statement.  That's why your Internet business should strive to find ways to put content on the Internet.  You can also enjoy further mileage out of content by repurposing the same content in different formats.  For example, you send out articles, post to your Blog, and send out emails through your Autoresponder.

Reachout Throughout – RSS

RSS has been around for more than a decade but until recently "Rss Technology" started penetrating its roots deep inside the soil of the so-called E-world.

Using this standard, web publishers provide updates, such as the latest news headlines, special announcements, press releases or weblog postings through their RSS content

Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is a lightweight XML vocabulary for describing metadata about web sites, ideal for news syndication. Originated by userland software in 1997 and used by Netscape to populate Netscape's My Netscape portal with external newsfeeds ("channels") RSS has taken on a life of its own and has become perhaps the most popular XML format today. Thousands of web sites today use RSS as a "what's new" mechanism to drive traffic their way. (Including the BBC, CNET, CNN, Eweek, Forbes, Motley Fool, Wired, Red Herring, Yahoo, MSN and many more…).
