When I first started to learn about search engine optimization and marketing strategies for the purpose of building my home based business, I realized I would have to at some point break down and hire a search engine optimization company to do some work for me. So, now's the time to put things in motion for me.
It's now time to choose the mode I want to use in building my online presence. Do I get a website or do I get blog? When I first began to join different businesses on the Internet, I joined under a webmaster that built splash pages, capture pages or squeeze pages, all three have pretty much the same purpose. The webmaster built nice capture pages, they were appealing and pleasant to look at. This came to be the criteria for me when choosing a business to join, they had to have a nice looking website. People lose interest real quick if they land on a website that is ugly and disorganized.

Do you think that W3C compliant web site HTML code can positively impact your Web site's search engine rankings? Although you will find mixed opinions about this topic on the web, W3C is incredibly important for browser compatibility and overall site usability. Therefore, it's fair to conclude if code works well for the visitors and browsers, it can only benefit your efforts with the search engines.
The general concept is that while W3C compliant code may not necessarily propel your search engine rankings, bad coding can indeed cause lower rankings - especially if coding errors are significant enough to prevent search engine spiders from reading your page.

Billions of dollars are spent on marketing goods and services online each year. But those billions are largely reserved for big, well established companies. Small start ups cannot afford to indulge in many forms of online advertising.

There are millions of WordPress blogs on the internet, but the majority of them are not optimized for the search engines. This article explains 7 ways that you can make your WordPress blog more search engine friendly.
1. Ensure that your permalinks settings are set up in an optimal manner - whenever you publish a blog post it will have a permanent URL known as a “permalink”. By default the WordPress permalink setting is not optimal but you can easily edit this by clicking on the Settings->Permalinks menu in the WordPress dashboard and then use a custom setting http://yourdomainname.com/category/postname. This will mean that your blog post category and title will appear in the URL rather than a number.
